Sadly Mr Zilliken does not sell direct to the public. His wines are available in Britain from:
Lay and Wheeler, Essex,
Justerini and Brooks,
Howard Ripley
Wine Society
Most of these companies seem to operate on the 'pay now, get the wine in 9-12 months time' principle, which is something I wholly disapprove of. There have been a large number of incidents where companies operating like this have run off with the customers money and/or wine. Buyer Beware! The 'Wine Society' even wants £40 to register with them! I haven't paid my £40 and am not likely to any time soon...

2005 Saarburger Rausch Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel £25.30 per 375,ml
Mid Gold. Lots of apples on the nose, typically Saar, with apples again on the palate. The acidity is very interesting, and very subtle; despite being quite high it isn't sharp, yet isn't soft either. In fact if you take a small sip and think 'is this sharp', it is a little, yet take another sip and think 'is this soft', it also is a little. This wine has a very good balance, yet is very sweet but is not in any way cloying. Good, but not massive concentration, and quite good minerality. However it is very expensive, and isn't great value for money.
18/20 Will last for many years
It's worth pointing out that I'm 99% sure that this is not the same wine I tasted at the VDP tasting in June 2006. (See here)
